Accountant
We are seeking an Accountant to join a busy accountancy practice in Dungannon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
This role is ideal for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment.
- Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Management of client bookkeeping, including review of cloud accounting records (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reports for clients
- Liaising with clients to provide accounting and tax advice in a clear and professional manner
- Assist with Setting up the practice for MTD for Income Tax
- Supporting clients with compliance requirements and deadlines
- Identifying opportunities to improve client systems and processes
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
Skills and Experience Required
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (part-qualified or qualified by experience considered)
- Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
