This newly created Operations Manager role will be responsible for leading and managing the operations team to ensure seamless customer service, efficient workflow, and high performance across departments. The role focuses on team leadership, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence with a company operating in multiple trade sectors including engineering, construction and agriculture.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to ensure high productivity and a customer-first approach
- Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with the procurement and product operations teams to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery
- Ensure high standards of customer service by optimising response times and order accuracy.
- Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to align operations with customer needs.
- Ensure efficient coordination between sales, warehouse, and production teams.
- Support the Head of Product Operations in maintaining high standards of product quality and delivery performance.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports on operational efficiency and customer service metrics.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in Operations Management with a strong focus on team leadership and customer service - at least 3 years experience is essential
- Background in either agriculture, construction, engineering, or industrial goods sector.
- Experience in optimising workflows, improving customer service processes, and enhancing team efficiency.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in distribution and production environments.
- Training in leadership, customer service, or operational process improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) - Preferred
