We are seeking a Production Administrator to support a busy manufacturing operation. This role will ensure that production schedules, job documentation, purchasing, and dispatch activities run smoothly while maintaining excellent communication between office and shop-floor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update production schedules
- Ensure manufacturing activities are accurately planned and monitored in line with customer requirements, material availability, and production capacity.
- Prepare production job cards for the manufacturing team ensuring all drawings, specifications and material requirements are available.
- Process delivery dockets and production documentation.
- Coordinate with programming and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Support the production manager with order preparation and dispatch activities
- Purchase consumables, tooling, and equipment for the production department.
- Monitor labour hours and production costs for reporting and job costing.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (advantageous).
- Full driving licence
Monday to Friday (early Finish 1:30pm on Friday)
